A booking chart for the following calendar year is
circulated in agreed priority order before the owner's
annual meeting, where the bookings for the next year are confirmed.
Each owner has a priority for that year, and moves up a couple of places
each year: after a year at the top of the list, the owner then starts at the
bottom, and after six years the cycle begins again.
Each owner can choose two weeks (separately or as a fortnight) in the "high season"
(April to October inclusive), and one week in the remainder of the year.
By this route, thirty-six weeks are firmly booked before the year begins.
Allowing for time for winter maintenance, the remaining fourteen weeks are
booked with priority in reverse order to the original chart, so having last
choice originally does have its compensations.
These extra bookings are confirmed on the first day of the month before
the month of the booking
|Priority for school holidays||A maximum of three designated "special" shares have priority|
booking of school holiday weeks and pay a higher proportion
of the costs than "ordinary" shares thus reducing the other 9 shares contributions.
(Only two such share holders are on the boat at present - correct 2019)
General Comments About the Boat
From the rear semi traditional stern the steps drop down into the rear bedroom which houses a fixed double (or extending king sized) and a small en suite toilet.
Onwards you enter a corridor with the bathroom on your left, in the bathroom is a bath, a shower, a sink and a toilet. Onwards the corridor enters into the kitchen area which has a microwave, sink, drainer, oven, hob and under counter fridge. Under your feet is a wine storage box.
Onwards there is a Dinette which converts into a double bed. Towards the front is the lounge area with 2 new comfortable armchairs which convert into single beds. There is also a wood/coal burning stove and an LCD TV/DVD.
Double doors then lead you into the outside front of the boat where there is a comfortable seating area.

General comments by vendor
Sundowner is a good looking and functional narrow boat. we are often complimented on her beauty by passes by and fellow boaters. We have a wonderful group of owners who readily welcome newcomers to the group.
We meet annually, next 21st September 2019, to discuss moorings and general needs for maintenance - as well as having a meal and catch up together.
We have travelled the network with Sundowner and look forward to more exploration. Our current plan is to gradually move back Northward from Autumn 2019. Possibly West Midlands next year.
We look forward to welcoming you.
